Here I was a Target yesterday doing our baby registry for the baby shower next month. Yes, baby showers are suppose to be a surprise which is why I don’t know the exact date it’s going to happen. But anyway, we went to Target to pick out a few things we really wanted for Izek. The time is near and I still have so MUCH to do before he arrives. Hopefully we can move and get settled in with in the next 4 months. I still don’t know if I want to create a nursery for him. I can’t bear the fact that he will be sleeping in a whole different room, so maybe I’ll just place the crib next to our bed.
The lovely ladies at Annie & Isabel were kind enough to send me two hospital gowns. Aren’t these adorable? I chose the zebra print and to my surprise, they also sent me the pink polka dotted one.
I already know Jesse is going to be snapping pictures of me during my stay at the hospital. And now I’m going to be in some cute little hospital gowns instead of those dreadful blue things the hospital gives you. Check out their blog here and take a look at all of the lovely mommas in their cute gowns!
(wrapped with love, can’t you tell?)

aww haha I love how your going to wear 'fashionable' hospital gowns

Aww those hospital gowns are super cute! I'm so excited for you. And new mama to mama to be, you should have a nursery for your son. Its recommended so that they wont be spoiled and they can sleep in their own bed. I was scared at first because if sids m. But its a maternal instinct to always check if your baby is okay and breathing: ) i know you'll be a great mom and will do what's best for your Sonny. Best wishes!
you look so comfy and cute in tartget! and those hospital gowns are so chic!

I love the way you look at the target. You are adorable!
You look pretty as always~!
And as for the nursery..
It's best for the baby to actually sleep with their parents..
so the baby and sleep in the middle, between you two..
as long as none of you have horrible sleeping habbits!
because they said, babys who are grown near their parents and with love and warmth have much more positive attitude when they grow up and over all nicer!
and at night, if you sleep with the baby, and the baby cries..
than you can just have the baby feeding(???) and you can just sleep along with him!
im not a professional or old and all so i dont know exact words..but i heard from my parents and other adults that breast feeding is better for the baby and they did a test with babies that babies who werent breast fed are more violent and more likely to end up not having a very nice attitude!
soo yeahh..
haha
but im sure your baby is going to be mighty healthy and handsome!
hahaha the hospital gowns are too cute! You should have a nursery for him. He needs to have a room, but at the beginning he should sleep in your room, because he will be waking up in the middle of the night.
Too cute!!! You will look adorable!

Ugh, not being able to write a comment correctly the first two times…. Third time's the charm right?
It must be a cultural difference, because nurseries do not exist here. Babies sleep in their own crib in the parents bedroom until they're about 9-12 months old. Once they're not being fed at night anymore the baby moves to their own room. I certainly would not have my baby in another room and then have to go feed him in the middle of the night, a couple times, and then go back to bed. Call me lazy, but really that would be a nightmare. I'd probably sleep in the baby's room if he wouldn't be sleeping in my bedroom.
Here it is actually recommended to have the baby's crib in the parents room, but definitely not have the baby sleep in the same bed. That's an absolute no-no. Lifting the baby to the bed next to you while feedings sure, but after that back to the crib.

Haha, you would wear one of those gowns! I love it.
Love those gowns! What my sister did was have a nursery for her baby and at the same time place a bassinet near her bed for the first few weeks. Best of both worlds!
I vote for the zebra, your son will like the wild print!

Dulce! I'm so happy for you!
I saw you at Tj-max yesterday with you boyfriend
I wanted to say hi, but I was too shy. You looked gorgeous.
Hi Dulce!
Congrats on the pregnancy
So concerning the nursery idea, I wanted to share a little insight from some things I learned from my Child Development class.
-When you have a newborn baby, it's best to let him/her sleep in a crib in the room that you and your husband/partner share (on their back) without too many fleeces or fibers near by.
-If you let your newborn sleep on his/her own in another room, there's a chance that you could accidentally sleep through your baby crying on the baby monitor, and that can develop a psychological mistrust for the baby.
-It would be dangerous to have your baby sleep between you and your husband if you guys roll around a lot, but even if you don't, it's best to take the safest precautions and put him in a bassinet or crib near your bed.
-Try to prevent a collection of stuffed animals or too many fleece blankets because the mini fibers can become ingested into your baby's lungs and could potentially cause SID's (sudden infant death).
I know this probably all sounds scary, and I don't mean to make you paranoid. These are all derived from scientific theories and statistics. I just wanted to share a few things that I was taught by my professor, but in the end it's all up to you and your husband because you two will be the ones raising your lovely son, and it should be up to you two on how to raise him
Good luck with everything! I see a very bright future for your family!
<3 Pristina
You look too cute! As far as those gowns, cute yes, but trust me what you are wearing will be the LAST thing on your mind right before you give birth.
I would say still do a nursery with a crib, maybe buy a bassinet for your room so there is something small in the room for him to sleep in as well.
That is just too kute!!
I love your outfit!

You look very cute today. I too am pregnant with my fourth and my husband wants more (o_0). Your allowed to wear your own hospital gown? Don't quote me on this, during labor you have to wear the hospital gown, but after you can wear whatever you want. I had one child at Huntington Memorial in Pasadena and one at Santa Monica UCLA. Im not sure because rules are different everywhere.
I'm only 9 wks so I'm bored. I can't wait till I know the sex of the baby and I can go shopping! Oh also, workout as much as you can, strong legs and thighs are good for easier labors and less painful. Okay, I am rambling and I'm sure you heard this before. Have fun shopping!
Hey dulce! I love these baby-posts!!! Keep them coming and I cannot wait for the baby boy and photos of him!!!
i love those gowns!
ah lovely x

Omg yes, keep the crib in your room. I mean of course you will set up his room to play, but to sleep there will be hard. You will end up sleeping on the floor next to his crib!
Those hospital gowns are adorable:)
I love the Zebra hospital gown, you are going to be so beautiful while giving birth!!
Am so happy for you and your boyfriend… i cant wait to have my own babies

Dreadful hospital gowns..funny..i had an all natural birth and trust me the last thing you care about when your getting a contraction is a gown
I just saw on twitter that your bf just proposed! AHH How amazing!
U look soooo CUTE! U r right about the gowns! but here's what i learned from experience… I took my own gowns too but after the delivery, i was in complete shock of what happened next! U r in pain and it's kinda gross, so i stuck to the ugly ones 'cos i couldn't bear to ruin my cute ones! I wore them at home once we brought Rayyan home. He actually had laryngomalacia and was in NICU for 9 days, so once we got him home we went picture crazy in my cute gowns
lol.

Adorable hospital gowns! My husband and I are expecting our first little on in 7 weeks! I have been looking at those fashionable hospital gowns ( I mean, who wants to look grungy when they can look fabulous!), but I am having the hardest time actually purchasing one. Its hard for me to spend over $50 on something like that when there are so many things our little one needs!
Anyway, you are absolutely stunning pregnan! Good luck with everything! Being pregnant is the most wonderful experience, enjoy it!

omg i use to be on your blog all the time last yr cuz i loved ur make up and outfits but over the summer i had a job and school so blogging took a backseat soo i had NO idea you are having a baby!!!
congratulations on that!!! thats awesome
some hospitals wont let you wear other gowns, it sounds silly, but so true, but they are still super cute
what some of my friends did was convert their walk in closet into a mini room for their baby, and their bed was looking into the room. its great so your room still has space, and you can always use those wall closet things, and turn your whole wall into a closet. i forget what those are called haha.
