Outfit of the Day: Colorful Romper

Today my family and I had an amazing day! It started out with Izek waking up at 7 AM. My amazing husband went over to his room to get him ready for breakfast while he let me sleep in till about 9:30 AM! We then just hung out, I worked on few things while Izek played with his ‘guys’ (toys) while Jesse picked up the Kitchen.
I was about to start filming a new video around 11 AM, but we thought a better way to spend our Saturday was enjoying each others company, especially since Izek is in school full time now (summer camp). As we were walking out the door Jesse and Izek found a baby bird that seemed to be hurt, so we called the Wildlife Rehab Center for advice hoping they would take him/her in (by the way, THANK YOU to all of you who gave us tips and info on how to care for the birdie). They sadly said they couldn’t take it in so we took a visit to our local bird store and bought him a cute little cage so we can nurse it back to health and get him ready to be on his own again. Right now he seems to be pretty happy and less stressed. He’s sleeping in our room right now since it’s dark in there and I also read that the dark reduces the stress levels. FYI: We did leave him/her outside for roughly 45 minutes to see if the Mom was around, but no one ever showed up. We are calling a few more rehab centers on Monday hoping they can take it in for proper care.

We then had an early dinner and went to Walgreen’s before heading back home. I LOVED today. It was perfect. I’m just feeling so happy and grateful with my life right now. I love my family more than anything and I thank God every day for blessing me with their presence. How can I be in a bad mood if I have them? That would be time wasted and I no longer choose to waste my time being upset like I use to be all the time for no reason. Anyway, I wore this super bright and colorful summer appropriate outfit today to match my mood!

How did you guys spend your Saturday? I would love to know! Thank you for sharing! XO

Outfit of the Day: Coconut Palm

Here’s another outfit that I put together that came straight from the hidden files in my closet. I never thought I would have so much fun shopping my wardrobe and re inventing certain pieces different ways and I guess that’s where the thrill comes from. I’m almost forced to get creative which I’ve noticed has helped me expand my style and really find my true self. It’s a beautiful feeling when you dress for yourself and let your clothes tell a story and/or express that days emotion.

Since what I’m wearing is not new, I’m going to link similar options down below. Thank for stopping by!

Outfit of the Day: First Day of Summer

Celebrated the first day of summer with my family in a very casual way. We all slept in pretty late yesterday which is something we LOVE to do! We then went out to eat to Malibu Cafe which is a gorgeous outdoor restaurant with an incredible atmosphere. We ate, walked around, played ping pong, and sat by the creek with a mint julep at hand. Perfect first day of summer!

Throwback Festival 2014

I can’t remember the last time that that Jesse and I had an actual date, alone. Needless to say, we were super excited for Saturday to get here. Believe it or not, I actually was a bit nervous about our date. As soon as we woke up, Jesse and I started scrambling trying to pick up around the house and make breakfast. And to make matters more intense, Jesse still needed to get a haircut (he had a baby fro).

Our plans were to have lunch and be out the door at 1:30pm, but we didn’t leave until 3pm. The festival was in San Diego too and the 405 traffic was horrible that Saturday afternoon. We made it to my mother-in-law’s house around 4pm so we had about 3 hours to be in our seats (event started at 7).

The traffic didn’t pick up one bit all the way to Orange County. Jesse then decided he was going to take a shortcut, and hopped on the 73 freeway even though we didn’t have the Fastrak. It definitely paid off because we got to SD in under 2 hours, and still had time to hit up Carl’s Jr…lol

Upon arriving at the festival, we received our green wristbands with our free drink vouchers, and headed to our seats. I wasn’t expecting such a big crowd. The DJs were awesome. They really had the place jumping. We seriously had the best seats in the house. I can’t believe Dj Quik shook my hand. He was the best artist of the night. Following Quik, was E-40, then Bone Thugs. I was really hoping Too Short would make a surprise appearance. The show was still fun, especially because I was with my man spending some much needed quality time.

I hope you guys enjoyed this BP. See you guys later!

Outfit of the Day: Thrifted Safari Top Styled

Today I wanted to share a look based around a crazy, safari printed top from my last Thrift Store Haul. My style has been evolving with me and for some odd reason I was very attracted to this shirt. And just like I said, it sparked plenty of conversation. LOL. I paired it with my favorite cargo pants I bought at AE last summer. Cargo’s are traditional in the safari so I figured they would be the best fit for my top!

I’m also working on a new fashion video on how to style metallic and I’m featuring another thrift store find. Can’t wait to share it!
