Good Morning America and Beauty Con 2014 #NYC

This past trip to NYC was amazing! It was a long trip, but well worth it nonetheless. I was pretty busy running around the city from meeting to meeting and in between that time, I made an appearance on Good Morning America. Live television, guys!! Watch me below and let me know what you think. I believe i conquered that fear :)

I was pretty nervous as you can imagine and had terrible anxiety leading up to the event. What I told myself was that if God didn’t think I could do it, then he wouldn’t have blessed me with the opportunity. I also have more confidence in myself since reading The Confidence Code and really understanding what fear is and what it can do to a person. Trust me, I know exactly what fear can do and I can tell you that fear is not real! I just focus on being me and if people don’t like that, well who cares! Just being honest here. I’ve spent too much time and energy trying to please people who at the end still don’t understand or like me. So why bother. I love being me and that’s all that matters. That attitude has helped me so much in my life in these past few months. I’ve seen major transformations.

Anyway, below is the picture diary of my adventure in the city, enjoy!

(Thank you to everyone who came out to my meet and greet! I hate that they’re always so rushed. I wish I had more time to talk and get to know each other. Love you all so much! I wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for your support. So grateful for all of you!)

Outfit of the day: Balboa Park

This outfit that I wore to an evening out at the park with my two guys was based around this awesome skirt I bought for a few dollars at the thrift store. It’s no secret that I love a great deal and that’s why thrifting is one of my favorite things to do. Not only for clothes, but for home decor and furniture as well. I really need to start my own series on that subject. This whole outfit was under $50! Marvelous right?!

Memorial Day Outfit

First I would like to pay tribute to all the fallen troops who fought for our freedom.
————————————————————–
After a long Memorial Day weekend with my two favorite guys, I decided that we should take a trip to Long Beach since the heat was unbearable here in the valley on Monday. Jesse was eager to go because he knew we’d get some amazing OOTD shots by the pier. Upon getting to the 710 freeway, we seen several signs to the Aquarium of the Pacific so we decided we’d pay it a visit. Izek was excited to go because he is obsessed (right now) with sharks and orcas.

I wore a J. Crew top with these baby blue jeans. I finished my outfit off with these comfy Zara shoes. The weather in Long beach was nice. I thought I was going to have to wear a sweater since we were right by the beach.
Jesse said it felt like a first date because we had so much fun. Even though it was Memorial Day, we still were able to see all of the animals without much wait, and we even grabbed a late lunch/early dinner at Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. We ended the evening with a walk on the Pier. This was my favorite part of the day because it had cooled down, and Jesse shot some amazing pictures of me while Izek enjoyed his bubble machine and ice scream. Hope you guys enjoyed this blog post. See you next time.

Hawaii Sunset Inspired Nail Art Tutorial + Outfit Idea

Today I wanted to share a fun nail tutorial inspired by my birthday vacation to Hawaii from last year. The sunsets are one of the most beautiful sights to see because there’s not one that compares to the day before. We loved spending the afternoon by the beach, feeling the warm breeze, hearing and seeing the waves wash upon the shore, and seeing the gorgeous array of colors change and become more intestine as the sun disappeared into the horizon.

Outfit of the Day: Sexy Little Black Dress

I don’t wear many dresses like this. Partly because I don’t own many. Maybe I should invest in a few more because they make me feel great! It’s a different kind of attitude and confidence I get when I wear a sexy little dress. So it’s a very affordable little black dress perfect for any night out! Need to make a trip to Vegas to see Britney and might take this little number with me. Anyway, I paired it with simple nude shoes and a printed long coverup. I had to refrain myself from adding neon because I ALWAYS do when it comes to black, but I think this was appropriate for this look.
